Who is Jim C. Gadrow? What is this site all about? This site serves a couple of functions. First, as a social outlet for my gaming trends and keeping friends, family, and acquaintances notified of what's current in my life. Secondly, I've grown tired of always doing interviews and stating, "I just did the back-end on this site and take no responsibility for the design or content of this site." So, I figured I'd make my own site that I can point to and say, "There is a site that I am proud of!"

This is kind of an experiment at this stage, so here's hoping for a success!

Update

Up next, Jim gets off his lazy butt and writes a post! :P

PHP... Check! Photoshop... Check! Community Opinion...

I need your opinion! I'm working on the design for this site and will be posting some elements for you to discuss and let me know what you think.

Fanboy... Yup!

Ok, years ago, a fledgling company with two hit titles under their belt decided to branch out and make a new game in their primary market. Because, you know, they get bored. The result changed the way RTS games were created and was my favorite game for a long time.

I used to play the game competitively actually. Never to the level that the Koreans do, but, still, there was a time that I was within the top 750 players in the entire world.

The Devil's In The Details

And, ironically, so is the developer! So, in a way, a developer is a superhero triumphing over evil. Ok, not really, but there are so many items that really good developers must at least understand.

If you don't understand them, then you had better at least know how to figure it out! Personally, I believe anyone can become a developer with the right amount of study. But there are those developers who are decidedly leagues ahead of the pack. I don't claim to be the best, but I'd like to think I'm racing towards the front of the pack!
